SMART Region-of-Today vision: Piacenza focus group

The focus group is aimed at investigating the awareness practices for urgent action against the climate crisis (global warming), territory vulnerability and social inequality through the Smart Specialization Strategy localisation’s action plan. It is no longer possible to deal only with climate change when hazards in the short-term (nowcasting) are increasingly frequent, evident, and require crucial action. Smart Specialisation actions are related to a flexible model that acts on the time scale of the emergency from knowledge.

The Post-it Wall Day is the phase of the meeting in which the selected stakeholders interacts using a specific methodology, that is performed in person in the meeting room “Marchet” (Piacenza, Politecnico di Milano, Caserma della Neve campus). Participant, selected through the surveying phase, are local decision makers and selected external experts. After the territorial dynamics are identified and interpreted, the Post-it Day first session is dedicated to the Region-of-Today vision. We facilitate a dialogue among the agents by asking questions about descriptive, pragmatic, and evocative elements. The aim is to envision the stakeholders’ perception regarding their region and municipality conditions.
