Smart Network

The SMART Network is a university-driven framework for local and international collaboration among academic institutions, companies, public bodies, and other organisations to facilitate the implementation of Smart Specialisation Strategies in Western Balkan countries.

 

It supports the exchange of knowledge and the development of joint initiatives among its members as well as providing opportunities for education and professional development in the fields of open innovation and entrepreneurship.

MISSION

The missions section of the Smart Network project underscores its commitment to advancing collaboration and knowledge exchange by providing comprehensive training programs focused on diverse Smart Specialization topics, as well as fostering an ecosystem conducive to open innovation and entrepreneurship.

Provision of training focusing on different Smart Specialisation topics, open innovation, and entrepreneurship​

Coordinating supply and demand of ideas, knowledge, and good practices through the SMART Network’s platform

Development of joint research & innovation activities based on bilateral or multilateral agreements

Awareness-raising about Smart Specialisation Strategies, open innovation, and entrepreneurship through events at a regional, national, and transnational level
