International Agriculture Symposium – AGROSYM 2025

Description

The XVI International Agriculture Symposium “AGROSYM 2025” serves as a premier annual forum organised by the University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Agriculture, bringing together scholars, practitioners and policy-makers from the domains of agriculture, food systems, rural development, environment and forestry.

Over the course of four days (02-05 October 2025) at Jahorina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Symposium features plenary lectures, technical sessions, poster presentations, and industry-exhibits addressing major thematic areas such as plant production, plant protection and food safety, organic agriculture, natural resources management, animal husbandry, rural economy and agro-forestry.

With its international orientation and English as official language, the Symposium offers a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, networking and dissemination of best practices across the agro-food chain, encompassing academic research, extension services, private sector innovation, and public-policy debate.

The event underscores the urgent need for sustainable agriculture models and resilient food systems in the face of climate change, resource constraints and socio-economic shifts — and invites participants to engage in forward-looking discussions on how to advance productivity, safety, environmental protection and rural livelihoods in the region and beyond.
