As part of the GeNeMe Pre-Conference, the SMART project team contributes to a panel discussion on “Sustainable University Collaborations between Europe and the Western Balkans: Pathways to Creating Stable Academic Networks.”
The event explores current challenges and opportunities in higher education cooperation within Europe, with a focus on the Western Balkans. The discussion delves into strategies for establishing sustainable academic communities and networks. Panellists share best-practice examples of successful projects and long-term partnerships, emphasizing the role of political decision-makers, educational institutions, and joint initiatives in strengthening higher education systems.
The panel highlights how collaborations foster innovation, promote stability, and build resilient academic networks across Europe and the Western Balkans. It provides an opportunity for academic and administrative staff, as well as students, to engage in dialogue and contribute to shaping sustainable transnational cooperation.
