Europe as We Co-Create It – DOBA, the EU, and the Power Within Us

Description

On the eve of Europe Day – a celebration of the values that unite us: democracy, inclusion, solidarity, and equal opportunities – DOBA Business School Maribor invites you to a discussion with European project coordinators who bring these values to life in their daily work.
The discussion focuses on topics closely aligned with the key goals of the European Union, such as the digital transition, entrepreneurial equality, mental health, and sustainable development:
• How to create a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can develop and realize their entrepreneurial ideas
• Digital literacy and online safety in the digital age
• How to maintain well-being and mental health in the face of modern challenges
• Human capital as the foundation of the digital and green transition in the social economy
Participants: Dr. Marko Divjak, Dr. Marina Letonja, Dr. Martina Plantak, Dr. Živa Veingerl Čič.
Discussion will be moderated by Mateja Geder, MA ODE, Head of Project Office and International Collaboration at DOBA Business School.
The spotlight will be on Erasmus+ projects that demonstrate how changes in the “microcosm” – among individuals, groups, and local communities – can shape a more inclusive, connected, and resilient society at the European level.

Four Erasmus+ projects will be presented addressing key gaps in today’s Europe:
• FEM-Up, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial skills among young women in STEM
• ASAP, promoting the safe and emotionally balanced use of digital tools among youth
• BeWell, developing holistic approaches to the well-being of students and teachers
• baSE, enhancing resilience and leadership competencies in social economy organizations in the context of digital and green transitions

Europe Day is not just a symbol – it’s an opportunity for collective action and the embodiment of values that bring us together.
Deadline for registration: 8th May, 13:00 CET.
The webinar will be held in the Slovenian language.
